"Evening Reverie" Alphonse Mucha copy.

This was commissioned by show designer Julia Kendell for ITV's 60 Minute Makeover
2007 Series 5. In Erith, Kent.
The brief was to take the images in the art nouveau fire surround, and make a wall feature of them.
I painted the figure, and my associate Chris Westall (from An Association of Professional Muralists) painted the floral background and decorative work. We worked together to blend the design into the wall at the site.
The first photo shows the central panel in my studio before it went to Chris.
A licence was obtained fron the estate of Alphonse Mucha to do this copy. Though considered a 19th century artist, Mucha died in 1939, meaning his copyright does not expire until 2014!

Executed in acrylics on MDF, various sizes, completed May 2007.
