Danish Coast Mural, Hampstead, London June 2000. page 1 of 3.
This was for a small basement study.
The room was quite claustraphobic, being well below
ground level. It has large french doors that open
into a small patio garden. This is surrounded by walls of neighbouring buildings as though
at the bottom of a well.
The intention was to open up a vista from the main veiwing point of
sitting at the desk. The scene was chosen as the client is of Danish origin and
it shows a local stretch of coast. Elements to the right of the mural tie up with
items in the garden/patio.
