Proposal drawings for full scale sunken Atlantis fantasy trompe l’œil..

The site is a basement swimming pool room in a large London house. There are existing architectural features which lead me to this design. There is a coffered ceiling over the pool, supported on four columns, which would lead to the effect of it being the single still-standing building in a deluged ruined Atlantis.

Executed in acrylics, on A3 paper.

Above the hot tub, there is a ceiling rotunda.
Here the effect is of it being tumbled down, so the bathers look up to the sea surface above. The turtle's fin comes on to the real mouldings, enhancing the effect of it coming into the building to escape the sharks.
