Imitation decayed-fresco (effect),

This is an effect of my own invention, executed solely in acrylics it appears to show the blistering and effervescences that occur on old, poorly kept frescoes. As, for example, with Da Vinci's famous "Last Supper".

Acrylic on board, 60 x 120cms.

A Fresco proper, is a painting done in watercolour on a wall or ceiling while the plaster is still wet, bonding the pigment to it almost permenantly. From the italian "fresco secco", meaning cool or fresh.

My version of part of Botticelli's "Primavera"
